Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry is involved in interregional projects

More than 6 million € for project implementation from January 2017
Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is actively participating in INTERREG Danube projects, involved in three projects starting from January 2017, whose total budget is more than 6 million €.

Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is actively participating by involvement of 3 projects implementation within the Danube Transnational Programme. The Programme fully supports the European Union’s Strategy for Danube Region (EUSDR) on the territory of 14 countries in Europe.

BCCI has a double role in the project preparation and implementation: acts like a project partner and leads a partnership based on the Danube Chambers of Commerce and Industry membership, as a guestor chamber collaborates with other regional chambers and elaborated a well-defined common idea.

BCCI is the Lead Partner of Transnational Project „Learning by Doing” with total budget of 2.359 million €. The project partnership covers the whole Danube Region, All 14 countries are participating with 24 project partners, which implementation period is till 30 June, 2019. The aim of the project is to improve the capacities of the relevant VET actors in order to ease the transition towards more company and practice oriented systems of Work Based Learning in Vocational Education and Training in the Danube Region. With this main goal helps to improve the region’s smart development, by responding to economic changes and labour market needs. The Secretariat and Managing Authority of Danube Transnational Programme gave the label of Strategic Project to this specific project as it has a territorial relevance, great partnership and very important topic.

BCCI also involved in two more project as a project partner within Danube Transnational Programme, where its role is to map the real needs of the SMEs, to negotiate the conceptual-  and content-based questions and to disseminate the results of the project towards its chamber members. The „INNOHCP” project focused on IT solutions of knowledge-based innovative products and its total budget is 1.827 million €, the implementation period of the project is 1 January 2017 – 30 June 2019.

The Made in Danube project with 17 project partners, represented by 10 countries, will be implemented during 30 months with 1.901 million € of total budget is focused on the sector of bio-economy and try to help for innovative marketable products and services.

Linkages between DCCA and EUSDR – Danube Chambers of Commerce Association (DCCA) were established by the initiative of Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) together with 10 more regional chambers along the Danube River in 2010. The members of the DCCA realized the potentials of the EUSDR, and the Association’s main goal is to support the Strategy, based on their network, strong cooperation and collaboration by the involvement in project development and implementation. BCCI, as the guestor chamber of the international organization of DCCA proactively participates in the implementation of the EUSDR. The main goal of the EUSDR (covers the territory of the Danube river basin with the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Germany (State of Baden Württemberg and State of Bayern), Romania, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Moldova, Serbia and 4 counties of Ukraine (Odessa, Chernivetska, Ivano-Frankivska and Zakarpatska) is to coordinate the development policy along 11 priority area, to make the Danube region more strengthen, better connected, to protect the environment and to build the prosperity in the Danube Region.
